QUANTLAB AND METHODOLOGY

We try to break a strategy before we trust it.

QuantLab is a scientific quantitative research engine built to investigate trading ideas, challenge them against evidence, study how they behave across market conditions and help you make better trading decisions.

PHILOSOPHY

A strategy is not an asset because somebody coded it.

It is a hypothesis expressed in software. Until the evidence improves, it remains a research candidate.

That distinction changes the question from: How much money can this make?

To: What evidence would make us trust it, and what evidence would make us reject it?

THE RESEARCH LIFECYCLE

Evidence accumulates in stages.

These public labels describe the research discipline without disclosing proprietary implementation details.

NEGATIVE RESEARCH

Zero survivors is an acceptable result.

A research process becomes dangerous when it needs every experiment to produce a tradable strategy.

QuantWeaver does not require an idea to survive. Rejecting a weak strategy before capital reaches it is a useful outcome. A failed experiment can also improve future research if the reason for failure is preserved.

RESEARCH MEMORY

Do not keep rediscovering the same mistakes.

QuantWeaver preserves the outcomes of previous experiments, including failures. New research can begin with more context about what has already been tested, what broke and which assumptions proved unreliable.
